Barnardo’s

Barnardo’s has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Arrow Comms Ltd since the company’s inception in 2016. Since then, Arrow Comms has been our preferred communications installer, maintenance provider, and cabling contractor across both new and existing sites.

Initially, Arrow Comms installed and maintained our Samsung phone systems, many of which they still support today, even though the devices are now at end-of-life. In 2018, following Arrow’s recommendation and in response to BT’s digital switchover programme, Barnardo’s began moving to the Wildix Unified Communications VoIP platform ahead of the 2025 PSTN switch-off.

Since then, every new telephony installation across our head offices and children’s centres that required a VoIP solution has been delivered using Wildix, supplied and implemented by Arrow Comms. Feedback from users has been consistently positive. The system includes features and reporting tools not found in many other VoIP platforms, which have proven especially helpful to staff.

Arrow’s support throughout the requirements gathering, ordering and installation process has been excellent. Quotes are usually provided within 24 to 48 hours. Installations typically complete within four weeks, depending on how long number porting takes.

As of April 2024, Wildix phone systems provided by Arrow Comms support more than 1,100 Barnardo’s users, with that number set to grow as more teams join the system.

Arrow also worked closely with our finance team to consolidate billing across all Wildix systems. This helped speed up payment processes and reduced invoice discrepancies. The transition to a single billing model was smooth and caused no disruption.
